Chef Tyler Rice

Pennsylvania Native Tyler Rice brings 35+ years of experience to the Grand Strand. His passion dates back to his early years spending time in the kitchen with his aunt, where he learned the fundamentals of French cooking, and the importance of using high quality ingredients. He worked at Allenberry resort, a highly decorated 4 diamond resort, through his teenage years, then decided to move to myrtle beach in the early 90’s. Once there, he ran the kitchen at such restaurants as The Old Pro’s Table, Community House and Julian’s. After almost a decade at the beach he left the grand strand to head the culinary operation at the prestigious Log Cabin, one of the best steakhouses in Pennsylvania. He knew at some point he would definitely return to the grand strand and in 2013 that opportunity presented itself and Fire and Smoke was born. With the goal of serving the best quality food using local purveyors and sustainable ingredients in a refined, fine dining setting, Fire and Smoke quickly jumped to the top of the culinary scene in Myrtle Beach. 9 Years later, Fire and Smoke continues to shine as one of the very best on the Grand Strand.
